The purpose of a blow-off valve is not just to sound cool; it is designed to release the pressure that is built up in the charge side of the turbo system. The Can-Am X3 is a rocket with an ECU flash and exhaust reaching nearly 200 horsepower.  The pressure in the turbo system has nowhere to go when you lift off the throttle. By installing a blow-off valve, you can improve boost response, prolong the life of the turbo, and, of course, get that cool swoosh sound!

The Can-Am X3 has a single problem if you want to install a blow-off valve: there isn’t room for one! But now that the Agency Power silicone blow-off valve hose kit and adjustable blow-off valve are available, this is achievable. The kit is made to attach to both the plastic charge tube and the turbo’s compressor side. You can install our adjustable blow-off valve with a 1-inch flange by using this 3-ply silicone tube. The silicone tube’s smooth interior reduces turbulence that may have been brought on by the OEM’s corrugated designs. Pulling the vacuum is required to operate the blow-off valve on the X3, which keeps the valve closed when the engine is boosted.

What differentiates this kit from others is the blow-off valve. When necessary, the piston and spring design of the CNC-machined aluminum valve offers a strong boost response. The spring’s specifications have been adjusted to meet the requirements of the Can-Am X3 turbo system. When you depress the throttle, the built-up charge pressure is released via this vent to the atmosphere valve, which produces a loud “whoosh” sound. You can change the spring’s stiffness by rotating the top part of the valve 360 degrees. You can now decide when to release pressure from the blow-off valve. Every valve has the Agency Power cursive logo laser-engraved on it and is anodized black.

With this one-of-a-kind valvetronic exhaust, Agency Power has taken its experience in high-performance vehicle exhaust systems and applied it to the UTV market! A switch is used to open and close a valve that changes the path of the exhaust gases in a valvetronic exhaust. You can now change the sound and performance!

After 3D modeling, prototypes, and a tested JIG were completed, production of this exhaust for all Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo models got started. It is made from precision TIG-welded T304 stainless steel tubing and has stainless steel mounting brackets as well as a spring retainer to allow you to use either the factory or aftermarket catalytic converter pipe. The AP tips are made of 18-gauge stainless steel and are bolted to the exhaust with an integrated spark arrestor system. The dual-tip design is compatible with the factory plastic exhaust shielding, and a custom Magnaflow muffler was designed specifically for this project to provide a nice tone when the exhaust valve is closed. Exhaust gases exit the left-hand side tip after passing through the resonator muffler. When the valve is opened, exhaust gases bypass the muffler and exit straight through the right-side exhaust tip.

A custom-made plug-and-play switch is included to power the Valvetronic exhaust. This switch has color-coordinated LEDs for the on and off positions. It is intended to be installed on the center dash or center console. The switch plugs into an already available port when mounted on the center dash near the start and stop buttons. If you mount it on the center console, the CANBUS bar is located beneath this trim, making it easy to connect power and ground. The exhaust uses an electronically operated valve that requires no other modifications.

As you accelerate through the RPMs, you can now hear the turbo spool up because the exhaust valve is open. You stand out from the crowd among your peers with the amazing new sound that is audible from a distance! Close the valve to achieve a very subtle, near-stock sound when you’re out on the roads or trails and need some quiet. Adding a race pipe or doing this exhaust does not require tuning. You’ll notice an instant improvement in horsepower and throttle response!
