Have had my tuner since 2014, best $400 you can spend on a V10. My 2010 F250 4x4 S/C long bed now outpulls my 2000 F250 2wd S/C shortbed with 7.3 Powerstroke (that has same mods on it, exhaust, airbox, tuner) even though it weighs 500 pounds more. 5 Star Tuning was highly recommended on truck forums as THE guys to go to for V10 tuning....... they are NO JOKE!

Got my tuner within 3 days and my custom tunes in the same day. I have only driven it about 30 miles with this tuner and I gotta say this is the best tune for gas super dutys! I had a superchips tuner before and it feels like the same power maybe a little more now but the transmission tune with the SCT X4 with 5 star custom tunes is incredible. Plus the X4 has way more options for spark, tire size, gearing, tpms sensors, and transmission tuning. Highly recommend this tuner!

What a difference! It's on 87 perf and usually it stays in 6th gear on the way home doing 35-40 but it stayed in 4th and just pulls like a train! So happy! Thanks again!

Got the X4 tuner and 5 tunes for my 04 F150 5.4 3v, which is stock except for the Airaid air intake pipe, K&N filter and Banks exhaust. The improvement in power and overall drivability is great, very noticeable. Getting up to speed on the highway takes way less effort and when I do get on the gas, it just goes. The shifts are also much firmer. I've only used the 91-performance/tow tune so far, excited to use the 91-performance tune.
And from getting the tunes ordered to getting them loaded and making everything work on my truck, I had several questions and every time I called 5 Star, the guys were more than helpful and happy to answer my questions.
I highly recommend 5 Star to anyone looking for custom tunes, you won't regret it.

I bought a junkyard 250,000 mile F150 that had a VERY tired old 4.6L 2 valve. I threw that motor in the trash and bought a Ford Racing 5.4L Block and added all the goodies (too many to list, but Forged crank, H-Beam rods, Trick Flow Heads, and on and on). I got it all put together and it ran like crap. Everyone I called said that would touch it... A Frankenstein motor on top of a 4.6 to 5.4L swap. Not here Bud. Move on. I even called SCT. They said I had to buy the super racer software and write it myself.... A member of the F150 forum said Hey Mike can do that no prob! Call 5 Star.
So I went online filled out the tune request form, put in all the part numbers and BAM. Tune in email. No complaining, no questions... Done. They aint scared!
Truck runs like a champ. No BS. Fastest 2 valve around here thats for sure.
Iv'e had REALLY good experiences with Josh as well as he helped me out once. He knows his stuff too. Dont even think about it. Doggy motor or $100... Hum No brainer!

Bought the x4 for my 2006 f250 5.4L, could not be happier. Night and day difference, the custom tunes unlocked a lot of power and all around better driveability. My wish list of performance parts to wake the 5.4 up has been deleted. this is all u need. Thank you 5star, very happy customer!
